phase 3
Phase 3 builds on the success of the City’s ongoing facility modernization efforts by advancing critical infrastructure upgrades across City and County of Honolulu facilities. Through facility assessments and insights gained while working in more than 80 City buildings during earlier phases, the project has identified additional opportunities to improve aging systems, enhance operational reliability, and increase energy efficiency. This phase will focus on upgrading essential building infrastructure, including HVAC equipment, controls, and electrical systems, using a strategic approach that prioritizes long-term performance and resiliency. By proactively addressing deferred maintenance needs before equipment failures occur, the project will help reduce service disruptions, improve occupant comfort, lower energy consumption, extend the life of critical assets, and ensure City facilities continue to operate efficiently and reliably for years to come.
